The team behind Scofflaw opened a two-story bar, which aims to "fill the Bonny's-sized hole in your heart," according to a release. Now that their opened," the bar incorporates elements reminiscent of beloved Logan Square dive bar Bonny's, which also was owned by the Scofflaw partners before it closed in 2012. The first floor will includes a cabin-themed dance floor perfect for uninhibited get-downs fueled by cheap beer and inexpensive bottled cocktails. The top floor, which will debut later in the year, will offer food and vintage games like Skee-ball. Slippery Slope will join other new bars such as The Radler and Analogue on an increasingly packed stretch of Milwaukee Avenue between California Avenue and Logan Boulevard.
