Even long after the marriage ended Toya Wright says she still had to deal with drama over ex rap star Lil Wayne. Toya who is the mother of Lil Wayne's first born recently opened up in an interview revealing her marriage to Weezy didn't last long because of crazy groupies and lifestyle. Via S2S Magazine reports: Being the wife of an up-and-coming rap artist isn’t as glamorous as one might think, according to Lil Wayne’s ex, Toya Wright. The teenage sweethearts were married for almost three years before calling it quits, and Toya said the hate from Wayne’s fans sure didn’t help. “One time, a girl spray painted my car pink,” Toya told VLAD TV. “I had fans spray paint my car. They would scratch it up. It was just weird.” Toya and Wayne dated in high school where teens can be particularly expressive with their jealousy, and things even became violent between Toya and her man’s admirers. “It was a lot. I had to deal with a lot of females. I was put out of school for fighting. It was a lot of drama that came with dating a young rapper that was very popular,” said Toya who admitted the two weren’t really ready for marriage. “We didn’t really know what marriage was all about back then,” Toya said. “He proposed to me and it just went from there. That was actually his second time proposing to me, and we just decided to get married.” Unfortunately, Toya said Wayne’s fast-paced lifestyle as a Cash Money artist wasn’t exactly what she wanted for her life. “We couldn’t do it. We wanted two different things in life. I’m a person who’s very family-oriented,” she said. “I do a lot of things with my family, my daughter and his lifestyle just didn’t match what I was looking for.”
Despite it all they still claim to have a decent co-parenting relationship!
